Abdominal pain

The causes of persistent or recurrent abdominal pain are many. Pain may originate either from the gut itself or other abdominal organs including the kidneys, ovaries or uterus (womb).  Often the cause is something simple such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) but there are many other causes and a Gastroenterologist can often help in diagnosing and treating the cause.
