After graduating with commendation from the University of Aberdeen, I undertook postgraduate training in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine in Aberdeen , Edinburgh & London . My special interests include
- Coeliac disease
- Endoscopy
- Colonoscopy
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Nutritional aspects of gastrointestinal disease
I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, a member of the St Mark's Association and the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG), having sat on the BSG Small Bowel and Nutrition Committee. I currently advise the Scottish Parliament Cross Party Working Group on Coeliac disease and Dermatitis Herpetiformis on medical matters relating to Coeliac disease.
