Dr Colin Noble MD, MRCP (Edinburgh)
I studied at Edinburgh University and completed my postgraduate training in Edinburgh having spent some research time in San Francisco. Having been appointed as a consultant gastroenterologist at the Western General Hospital in 2011 I have pursued a specialist interest in endoscopy. I undertake a large number of colonoscopies including procedures undertaken as part of the Scottish bowel cancer screening programme and therapeutic colonoscopies.
My further interests include inflammatory bowel disease and functional gastrointestinal disorders, like irritable bowel syndrome, where there are some exciting new therapeutic options.
I am a member of the Scottish Society of Gastroenterology, the British Society of Gastroenterology and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.
